Not entirely so with me, no. We are human creatures (as is obvioused by our being humans) and as such fall somewhere between spirit and flesh. Which is to say the animals are mostly flesh, the angels are mostly spirit, and humans are mostly both and constantly at war amongst their own bodies to see which will win out.
The entire teachings of the Holy Scriptures is related to keeping the flesh in fairly good working order so it won't get in the way of the spirit too much so that you can live mainly by that instead.
So.. we are human creatures, on a spiritual path, at least we are if we are trying, but that is because we are also spiritual creatures and that IS the human path.
*ahem* That is more or less what I was thinking, but it was so much simpler to think it than to try to write it down for someone else, I assure you, and took much much less time.
